Become A Volunteer!
Thank you for your interest in joining the Central California Animal Disaster Team! We are looking for responsible individuals who can deploy for local and regional emergency/disaster incidents within the counties of Fresno, Madera, Kings, Tulare, Merced, Mariposa and Kern.. We welcome volunteers that have a passion for helping PEOPLE as well as their animals.
All applicants must pass a background check. Depending on the county where you reside, there may be a fee. Applicants are financially responsible for the fees.
RED CROSS CENTRAL VALLEY: The CCADT has a Memorandum Of Understanding with Red Cross Central Valley. We assist the families who arrive at Red Cross shelters with companion pets by providing emergency animal sheltering and replacement pet supplies if needed.
IMPORTANT: The CCADT works as a community partner with Police and Sheriff's Departments, Animal Control Services (ACS), Office of Emergency Services and/or Fire Departments. At all times, CCADT volunteers must abide by the rules and regulations set forth by these agencies when we are deployed within their jurisdictions. This is to ensure a unified approach in helping community members during a disaster and for volunteer/public safety. Upon deployment, volunteers will be briefed on what is expected of them by the CCADT Animal Rescue Supervisor.
